Despite all attempts to come to an understanding, we'll always have different interpretations of the situations we get ourselves into. Whether we blame it on previous experiences or how we were brought up, every situation can be uniquely applied to every person. Sadly, this comes with a consequence. Every memory will have more meaning to one person than the other. You may recall conversations, relationships and moments of complete silence while the person you experienced them with will continue through life never giving it another thought.

This is the reality that we all must face. Despite everything you may have with your significant other, those certain moments you cherish may mean something completely different to them. After all, those promises for the future only hold value in the hands of people who are willing to see them as priceless. Sometimes, when guys say they have plans they mean, “I want to sit at home and play video games.” The odd part about these plans is that although many men forget birthdays and other special occasions, they often remember and appreciate that time you spent away. This isn’t to say you shouldn’t expect men to remember certain things, but you have to remember that in the end those moments that you have long forgotten may have meant so much more to him.
