So you get home from school or work, knowing that you have a long night filled with the work you couldn’t manage to get finished during the day. You sit down, begin typing, and suddenly you begin to hear tapping. Incessant, irritating tapping. After realizing that it’s your significant other, you make a vain attempt to tolerate the noise and continue on. But it gets worse. The tapping begins to get old and he now moves on to drumming the table with his hands and making beatbox sounds with his mouth. This is the tweaking point.
I don’t know about anyone else, but this is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. When everything is quiet and I’m doing something important -or even just watching a movie- and my partner in love (or anyone else for that matter) starts to tap, play with the remote, or do something irritating that distracts away from the task at hand, it bothers me more than anything else. I don’t even think half the time the person intends to be doing it, but just because they are doing it without thought doesn’t mean everyone else in the room intends to ignore it as well.
On a completely different note, have you ever been looking forward to a concert for SO LONG and messed up the day it was on? As of 8pm today, I have. I think graduating has made me lose track of my days, and unfortunately also made me miss one of my favourite bands, Florence and the Machine. For those of you who managed to see them, I am jealous and I hope you took lots of pictures as I don’t believe I will have another opportunity to see them for a very long period of time.
