On the 1st Day of Christmas

It’s Christmas! Hooray! I hope it’s filled with everything you asked for this year and more. Hopefully you're surrounded by family, friends or at the very least, spent messaging those people you love.

I’m pretty sure the majority of women have created this idea in their minds of how a proposal should be, or if they want one at all. You always hear stories from friends of friends about this whole romantic night, or how the man decided to pop the question. I think this is happening less and less. You hear less about the amazing stories and start to hear more about how people never think he will pop the question. I think too many people now seem to forget how much others do for them. It’s as if they believe they can get the same thing from any other person. No one is special anymore. Everyone's temporary. A different flavour for that particular time until the state of a relationship is called into question. Instead of having answers to questions, people run. Why debate the hard questions when you can just find an easy girl?

I guess we all hope that one day we'll become part of that magical group, who become that friend of a friend, with the ring they thought would never come.
