Flower Power

Have you ever wondered how far your significant other will go to make you feel like you are special? Or if they could do it on their own without many….many hints? To go along with the struggle of dropping hints concerning places, objects and venues, you then have to hear the triumphant story about how this gift came about.

These stories always seem to begin with a lost Boy on a cold and windy day, struggling with his own thoughts and ideas, not knowing where to turn when suddenly, (after the battery on his console dies) it appears before him. Now in this one store, out of thousands of different objects, he was able to find the perfect one for you… naturally the last one in the store, but he managed to grab it just in the nick of time.

Let’s face it, a wall of colourful flowers can be one of the most intimidating situations a person can be faced with, right? How else can these stories be created? I have yet to hear of a regaling tale of how a guy finally cleaned up after Fred the puppy after weeks of reminding and hint dropping. Regardless, when or if the moment ever happens, when thoughts are far beyond the reach of work, friends or even games, the gift is appreciated. Even if it conveniently ends up being his.
