Promises

June 30th, 2009

Have you ever realized that absolutely everything can be justified by a guy when they make a claim about their beliefs? If you happen to ask for something they don’t fully support, a back massage for instance, regardless if they happen to promise or agree, you should know better than to expect one. Not only are you the one to blame for actually believing them, but you can also be accused of not knowing them well enough, or even for being too controlling. I mean really, you should know better.

This of course should get you thinking about how these claims could possibly work to your advantage. I mean who truly believes in making sandwiches, cakes, or grabbing drinks from the fridge for someone else? I envy those of you who do.

On the topic of beliefs, it was recently Pride Week in Toronto, and I have to say that seeing the streets packed until 4 am with smiling people is such a refreshing change from performing the mindless tasks of that day. Everyone was free to wear as little or as much as possible, we could dance to any beat which happened to inspire our feet, and be accepted for everything we were and can only hope to be.
