I have always wondered about this question: what is the normal reaction to a pregnancy scare? When you pose the hypothetical question to men you get a range of reactions, from running to Mexico to being supportive of any decision the woman makes. Of course, if you're religious or were born into a religious family, you're more likely to keep the baby, leaving the man with little choice. Then you tend to see it as a blessing. However, I can’t help but question those religious people who say it is a sin to have an abortion…but obviously haven't read the Bible's stance on sex before marriage. Despite me attending both Catholic elementary school, high school, and also attending church every Sunday until about the age of seventeen, I'm not a religious person by any standards.

I will always believe that a woman should have control over her own body. I would never follow any book that tells me otherwise. If you aren’t ready or financially prepared to have a child, why would you want to bring it into a world where it would be disadvantaged? It is difficult to believe that any religion or God would want a child to come into this world without allowing the parents any consideration as to whether or not the child could live a long and healthy life given any detrimental circumstances.
